Analysis Capabilities (General)

Analysis capability is dependent upon the product in use. For details see the Product Specification.

Linear Static Analysis

  • Stresses, strains, displacements, moments, shears and axial forces that result from static loading are easily calculated.
  • Loads are assumed to be applied instantaneously in order to develop the state of internal stress and transient effects are ignored.

Linear Buckling Analysis

  • For relatively ‘stiff’ structures such as plate girders, diaphragms and U frames the maximum load that can be supported prior to structural instability or collapse occuring can be readily obtained.

Natural Frequency Analysis

  • Natural frequencies and structural mode shapes from wind, fluctuating loads and other induced loadings can be determined.

Fatigue Analysis

  • The fatigue response of a structure or structural component can be evaluated in accordance with all major design codes. More details.
