Obtaining fingerprint information (echoid.exe)

In order to generate a licence key operating from the licence server PC, we will require the fingerprint information of the licence server machine:

If you have LUSAS installed on the licence server PC use “Start > Programs > Lusas13 for Windows > Tools > Lock code Information”. Alternatively, …

  1. You will need your installation disk in the CD-ROM drive of the licence server PC

  2. Find the directory on the release CD that contains the EchoID software; usually D:\licence\tools

  3. Run (double-click) the file "echoid.exe".

  4. Make a note of both the lockcodes that appear on the dialog box.  You should send these to our licence key department, together with the client PC identification codes

If the lockcode obtained is 0-0, this is an error.  Check that "Client for Microsoft networks” is specified in the network configuration.  If it is specified, check that there is a working ethernet card in the licence server PC and run echoid.exe again.
