Installing a single user (ethernet or hard disk ID) licence

In order to install a full working version of LUSAS, you must enter a 25-digit licence key, which may be obtained from our licence key department.

If you have purchased a single user licence, tied to an ethernet or hard disk ID, then you will need to supply our licence key department with some information so that a key can be generated:

  1. If LUSAS version 13.4 is installed, go to Start > Programs > Lusas13.4 for Windows > Tools > Machine ID and skip to step 5 below.
  2. If LUSAS version 13.4 is not yet installed, you will need your installation disk in the CD-ROM drive of the PC you wish to licence
  3. Using Windows Explorer, find the directory on the release CD that contains the security utilities; usually D:\programs\utils
  4. Run (double click) the program "disklock.exe"
  5. A dialog box appears.  You should pick "Hard Disk ID" or "Ethernet ID" as appropriate and click the "Compute" button.
  6. Send the results to our licence key department; for a Hard Disk ID you should send 2 numbers (typically 9 or 10 digits), marked "Value" and "Security code".  For an ethernet ID you should send 6 pairs of digits (12 characters total).

Our licence key department will send you your 25-digit licence key and you can proceed to install the software.

If you have product options, such as Autoloader, you must add the 24-digit license key provided by the license key department before you run that part of the software.  Installing additional keys or updating keys
