Installing or changing a licence key
You may edit (update) or add 25-digit
licence keys sent to you by the licence key department using the Configuration
Utility. We
would recommend that if the current key has expired you
should edit (overwrite) the
original key string. If you have product options such as
Autoloader, you must add the 24-digit license key provided by the
license key department prior to running that part of the software.
Start > Programs > Lusas13.4 for Windows
> Tools > Configuration Utility > Key information tab
> (click) Add button
Key
strings can also be re-ordered using this utility: several key
codes may be included.

For LUSAS Composite, Bridge, Bridge plus, etc products (25 characters)

For Autoloader, Patran file converter, etc products (24 characters)
You may enter as many key codes as
have been issued, placing 25-digit LUSAS keys before 24-digit
product option keys. The software will now be ready to run using the new key.
The licence keys are stored in file named
FEA.KEY that is read automatically when LUSAS software is invoked. The
file is located by default in the folder C:\Lusas134\. The FEA.KEY
file must be of the form:

Standard ASCII text file. You may edit the FEA.KEY file using a standard text editor
(e.g. Windows Notepad). Ensure that NO word-processing characters are
inserted, particularly tabs or control
characters.

The "-" (minus) sign should be placed after
the last licence key, inserted in the file on a line on its own

Keys can specified in upper or lower case.

Company details may be written to the LUSAS output file
by adding these details after the "-1", as shown in example
below
It is permissible to enter all the licence keys
owned by your organisation and then copy the file
C:\Lusas134\FEA.KEY to other PCs with the software installed to
save typing out the keys several times. An example FEA.KEY file might be:
