Wrong licence key in use

Although typed correctly, the 25-digit licence key may be wrong for one of the following reasons:

  1. If more than one version of LUSAS is installed, the icon or menu shortcut being used to start the program may be pointing to a different version of the software than expected.  Check that the licence key given in the LUSASM_0.ERR file is same key that has been installed.  More on installing or changing a licence key

  2. Users with dongled licences: The dongle in use must match the dongle for which the licence key was generated. There can arise difficulties when multiple dongles are shared between users. You should check and edit licence keys sent to you with reference to the licence keys sent to you by us. You may enter more than one key and copy the FEA.KEY file to other PCs with the software installed.  Read more

  3. Users with hard disk or ethernet licences: The security code of the PC in use must match the code given when the licence key was generated. Check the hard disk or ethernet code by following the installation notes again, and check that the value corresponds with the most recent set of licence keys sent by the LUSAS licencing department.

If you cannot identify why the wrong key is being used contact LUSAS technical support
