Setting variables LSHOST and LSFORCEHOST
These settings are only required for versions; 13.8,
14.0 and 14.1.
For V14.2+ follow
this link.
You can use C:\Lusas14x\Programs\license\EnviroSet.vbe
script to set LSHOST and
LSFORCEHOST for both "User" and "System"
alternatively you can follow the procedure below for setting these variables on all the client PCs :-
On Windows NT
Start > Settings > Control panel > (double click) System
> Environment tab
(enter text boxes) Variable=LSHOST, Value=[name of your license
server] (click) Set button
(enter text boxes) Variable=LSFORCEHOST, Value=[name (or address) of your
license server] (click) Set button
(click) Apply button
(click) OK button
On Windows 2000 or XP
Windows 2000 - Start > Settings > Control panel > System
> Advanced tab > (click) Environment variables button
Windows XP - Start > Control panel > Performance and
Maintenance > System > Advanced tab > (click) Environment
variables button
Under User & System variables (click) New button (enter text
boxes) Variable name=LSHOST, Variable value=[name (or address) of your license
server] (click) OK button
Under User & System variables (click) New button (enter text
boxes) Variable name=LSFORCEHOST, Variable value=[name (or
address) of your
license server] (click) OK button
(click) OK button
On Windows 95/98 or ME
Add the following two lines to the autoexec.bat file and reboot
SET LSHOST=[name of your license server]
SET LSFORCEHOST=[name (or address) of your license server]
Reboot the PC in order for the
environment variables to take effect
