LUSAS Composites Analysis

Course Summary

A one-day course, for composite engineers who are familiar with simple materially isotropic analyses in LUSAS who want to appreciate the theoretical and practical considerations of laminated composite analysis. 

The course consists equally of presentations and ‘hands-on’ sessions.

Who should attend ?

LUSAS users familiar with isotropic material analysis, with a new requirement for analysing laminated composite materials.

Course Details

Linear Composite Analysis (CMP-1)

Introduces the concepts of composite analysis and covers:

  • Composite shell, solid and beam element types

  • Mixing composite element types

  • Lay-up definition and verification

  • Selecting, orienting and viewing results

  • Failure criteria
