Special Interest Group Meetings

The first Special Interest Group Meeting for Korean Civil / Bridge users was held at the Korea National Council on Social Welfare in Seoul.

Around 70 people from corporate and academic institutions attended.

Chungsuk Engineering, Yongma Engineering, Korea Land Corporation and Korea Engineering Consultants Co (KECC) were among the companies represented at the event.

LUSAS user presentations showed:

• The design of Gulpo Bridge (a mono-plane arch bridge)

• How LUSAS can be used to optimize cable tension forces for cable stayed and suspension bridges

• Creep modelling and Interactive Modal Dynamics

LUSAS presentations demonstrated:

• Key LUSAS features as used currently on 3 high-profile projects

• Technical overview of recent Civil and Bridge developments

The day was a great success and more events are planned for the future.
