A total of 46 delegates attended this year's LUSAS User Group Meeting for Civil / Bridge users held at Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest, Romania on 20 and 21 May 2009 to see presentations given on the latest facilities and key features in LUSAS version 14.2 and 14.3 for bridge analysis in Romania

At the LUSAS User Group Meeting presentations were given on the latest facilities and key features in LUSAS version 14.2 and 14.3 that can be of use to Romanian users for bridge analysis and design. 

Topics covered included:

• A general introduction to new features and facilities in LUSAS V14.2 and V14.3

• Time-stage and Post-Tensioning in LUSAS

• Dynamics in Bridges including pedestrian excitation / seismicity with dampers  

• Soil-Structure Interaction and foundations

At the Workshop/Training day a restricted number of 12 delegates worked through examples covering the use of LUSAS for specific bridge applications during hands-on sessions. 

Examples covered included:

• General bridge analysis incorporating new features in LUSAS V14.2 and V14.3

• Time-stage and Post-Tensioning in LUSAS

• Bridge dynamics including pedestrian excitation / seismicity with dampers  

• Soil-Structure Interaction and foundations
