ActiveX or VB Script Errors

If errors are obtained when running the scripts that LUSAS make available in each release kit (e.g. standard sections), the following will normally remedy the problem...

  • Install Microsoft Scripting. This should have been performed during the original installation but may not have completed successfully for some reason.
  • Ensure that the appropriate (and any currently missing) dynamic link libraries (dll's) are installed.
  • Install Microsoft ActiveX controls. This is required to enable all the supplied scripts that use bitmaps to work. A link to this program download can be accessed from the user area http://www.lusas.com/protected/utilities.html
  • The VBScript installation assumes that the language in the regional settings of the computer is set to English. There is a different installation for each language which we do not account for at present. If English is not set as the standard language on your computer, download the regional VBScript installation from this site... http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp
