Typical error / warning message appearing in a dialog box in LUSAS Modeller on attempting to load results for a model

*** Unable to determine architecture of results file. The file may not have been closed properly ***

This is a software issue similar to the Y2K bug that prevents the loading of any results file generated since midnight 1st Jan 2021 into LUSAS Modeller. After a model is solved, you may simply see no results in the Treeview - or when loading a model you may see the message "Unable to determine architecture of results file. The file may not have been closed properly". The cause is the same and there is no workaround - you will need to visit the software download page in the LUSAS User Area and install an appropriate updated version of the software from those currently available.

Please note:

  • Modelling facilities are not affected.
  • Existing results files, created before the end of last year are not affected, and indeed, new results will load correctly if you install an updated version as directed.
  • This problem (our ref CR28288) affects all versions of the software since V15.0 - versions 13 and 14 are not affected.
