Uninstall/ reinstall Sentinel drivers

The Sentinel drivers that form part of the security system for LUSAS may have become corrupted, or failed to install correctly.  This can normally be rectified by uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the drivers, which is a simple procedure.  It is not necessary to uninstall/ reinstall the whole LUSAS software, indeed, this would not normally resolve the problem.

  1. You will need your installation disk in your CD-ROM drive.

  2. Find the directory on the release CD that contains the setup programs for the SentinelScribe security software; usually D:\license\driver

  3. Select the appropriate operating system driver files - \win_9x\sentw9x.exe (for Win95, Win98 or WinME systems), \win_nt\setupx86.exe (for WinNT, Win2000 or WinXP systems)

  4. Run the driver installation program by double clicking on the file.

  5. A "Rainbow Technologies" window appears.  Click on the "Functions" menu and select "Remove Sentinel Driver" and then click "OK".

  6. Now close the sentinel driver program, run it again, and this time select "Install Sentinel Driver" and select OK twice.  In most cases this will fix the problem.

Any modelling and analysis capabilities described on this page are dependent upon the LUSAS software product and version in use.
