LUSAS finite element analysis software is available in LT, Standard or Plus versions dependent upon the software product. 

  • LT versions are suitable for linear static analysis of structural frames and grillages. 
  • Standard versions of software are suitable for everyday linear static and linear dynamic analysis. 
  • Plus versions allow for more advanced analyses to be undertaken and include an extended advanced high-performance element library. 

The analysis capabilities of the standard and plus versions of all LUSAS software products can be extended further by using Nonlinear, Dynamic, Thermal /Field, Fast Solvers and other product options.


LUSAS Bridge LT / LUSAS Bridge / LUSAS Bridge plus

Bridge engineering analysis software with an unrivalled range of analysis facilities. For linear static, fundamental frequency, seismic, dynamic, large deflection, staged construction, creep, prestress, post tensioning and fatigue analysis. 

LUSAS Bridge software is used for all types of bridge design, analysis and assessment from simple grillages through to complex cable stayed and suspension structures


LUSAS Civil & Structural LT / LUSAS Civil & Structural / LUSAS Civil & Structural plus  

Structural engineering analysis software with comprehensive facilities for all types of civil and structural analysis including linear, nonlinear, staged construction, creep, prestress, post tensioning, seismic, blast, buckling, impact, fire and fatigue analysis. 

LUSAS Civil & Structural software is used on all types of structures from buildings, grandstands and towers through to dams, docks and tunnels.


LUSAS Composite plus (Only available as a plus version)

Composite engineering analysis software with advanced shell and solid composite elements for all types of composite engineering. 

LUSAS Composite allows easy definition and visualisation of layups, and accurate delamination and failure modelling using a variety of industry standard failure criteria.


LUSAS Analyst / LUSAS Analyst plus 

General engineering analysis software with highly regarded nonlinear and contact capabilities for all types of linear static, nonlinear, dynamic and thermal engineering analysis, including thermal/mechanical coupling.

LUSAS Analyst is used in the automotive, aerospace, defence, manufacturing and general mechanical industries.


LUSAS Academic

LUSAS Academic is for use only by educational establishments for teaching purposes and research. By using the software protection device and licence key supplied, the full licenced version allows access to any LUSAS commercial product, access to all LUSAS analysis product options, and has no restriction on model size.

Research Projects

PRECIMOULD+ (High Precision Composite Moulding)

PRECIMOULD+ is a project with partners to develop and validate a software package to refine the accuracy of the predicted distortion of laminated composites during processing, reverse engineer surfaces and apply the simulation to complex structures. Benefits expected from the developed technology include: design confidence to predict and remove distortion, reduction of scrap and reworking, and reduced assembly costs.
